Altofondale 1000m SAT diver - COMPLETE
I learned about this project on Tlex's OceanicTime BLOG (click on link) and I was so curious about it, that I emailed Fabrizio to find out more about it. Turns out it is a very limited project of only 22 watches and last week he emailed me to let me know the project was complete!
Here is the email he sent me:
From what I understand, all have been sold and shipping to the lucky few has already begun. For more details and pictures about this great projects, please follow the link below to Altofondale on Facebook:

Finally the dream comes true! We have done all 22 watches and tested. Look at the pictures!
Once I will have mine available for pictures, I'll make good pictures and send to you for your Blog.
Thank you!

Deep Blue DepthMaster - GALLERY
I have owned this one for quite some time now and have enjoyed every minute of it. I honestly was not expecting to. I acquired it on a whim and I fully expected it to be a competent dive watch, I just was not expecting it to be such a cool diver!
Despite its girth and whopping 300g weight, it is surprisingly wearable and a ton of fun! (pun intended) Not to mention accurate. When worn 24/7, it is nearly spot on!
Here are a bunch of pictures I took today:

As you can see the thick case back sinks deep into your wrist and all but eliminates the extreme thickness. Like I said, it is very, very comfortable. Even on sticky, humid days like today...

Edox Ghost Ship Limited Edition
Edox proudly introduces the ultimate piece in the Class-1 collection, watches at the leading edge of technology and design, just like their ocean racing "cousins".
Limited to just 100 pieces worldwide, the Ghost Ship Limited Edition is a black beauty, the workings of its luxury Edox Calibre 95 movement highlighted via a spectacular black skeleton dial and the transparent caseback.
Here the wearer can observe the Calibre 95 movement's most intimate, intricate details - a fascinating insight into the supreme skills neded to "open work" such a tiny machine and why skeletonised watches are considered highly sought-after miniature works of art in their own right.
Coconned in a stainless steel case with a black PVD coating, with black ceramic bezel, the Ghost Ship Limited Edition oozes thoughness, the chronograph functionality further enhancing what is already a striking piece.
The Ghost Ship is water resistant (20 ATM or more than 600 feet) and the genuine black rubber strap and oversize pushers make it the ideal high-tech sports watch - whether you can pilot a Class-1 Powerboat or not.
Jura-based Edox has been producing fine, precision timepieces since 1884 and is the official Timekeeper for the Class-1 World Powerboat Championships, the Dakar Rally and the Extreme Sailing. Series™

Ancon Sea Shadow Bronze - GALLERY
I decided to take the plunge and try my hand at bronze. After reading so much about bronze vs. brass, the misadventures of Olivier watches and the errors of certain Chinese catalog manufacturers, I figured the dust has settled and it was time to try one out.
Enter Ancon. I first saw this brand on Oceantimetime Blog and thought they looked a little familiar. I once owned / reviewed a Helson Shark Diver and while they likely share the same supplier, the refined finishing on the Ancon, lead me to believe it is a cut above. (the Helson I owned had the same movement)
When I saw their bronze models, I just had to have one. I fell in love with the brown dial and I was not expecting it to come on such a sweet strap. Anyway, I will go into all of this in the upcoming review, in the mean time, how about I let the pictures do the rest of the talking:
I am really looking forward to letting this one Patina on its own and will post updated pictures, as it gains character. STAY TUNED!
