Deep Blue Alpha Marine 500 Gen II - GALLERY
Along with the DepthMaster, this is one of my absolute favorite Deep Blue watches. Near perfect ergonomics, solid construction and CRAZY lume make this watch a real winner in my book! Have a look for yourself:
Now I know there is something to having a true ETA 2824 movement, but I must say, the Miyota 9015 in my DepthMaster keeps better time! Not that this one is bad by any stretch. It is good, but not great like the other. Just had to point that out.
Anyway, this one has so much going for it, I am very happy I got it. Now if only my wife would let me where it to bed. She literally gets angry when I turn over and it shines in her direction. Yes... IT IS THAT BRIGHT!

Aquadive Bathyscaphe 300 - GALLERY
I received this watch roughly two weeks ago on OEM ISOfrane rubber strap. It was a wonderful combination, but I am far from being a strap guy, so I just had to have the bracelet. Today it arrived and to say this bracelet is impressive would be a gross understatement.
I am totally speechless, so instead, here are a whack of pictures:
This bracelet has so many links, I can almost make another bracelet with the extra links I removed (8 of them). Anyway, it is going to be a few days before the smile comes off my face. So if you are in Montreal and see a guy limping down the street (310g+ on bracelet) with a GIANT smile on his face. Say hi! And I will show you my Aquadive!

Ancon Tank M26 - GALLERY
I was fortunate enough to be one of the 1st to own one of Ancon's newest bronze watches. In fact, I received mine before they were even listed on their website! While acquiring the Sea Shadow (further down on my BLOG), I was going back and forth with Ancon customer service and they introduced me to this piece.
Since it was made of a mixture of Tin and Brass, it was a different bronze than my previous model (aluminum and brass). I just had to have it. It has not been about a month with the Tank M26 and a slight patina has already developed.
Here it is in living color:

As you can see, despite its long lug to lug length, it fits my 7 inch wrist very nicely and it is relatively thin for its size. I also like the dome crystal, which does not feature any anti-reflective coating. it makes it look a lot like an old school Plexiglas crystal, without the fuss. Whether or not this was intentional, it looks awesome and lends itself well to the design.
So you take a great design, add a wonderful movement (+1 sec/day), a great strap, an awesome buckle and what do you get? A VERY HAPPY TIME2WATCH!
